Profesionales de SENER que trabajaron en la torre de la lanzamiento de Kiruna

2017 sees the 50th anniversary of SENER beginning to work in the space sector. It all began in 1967 with the design and construction of the rocket-launching tower for ESRO (former European Space Agency, ESA) in Kiruna (Sweden) just 10 years after founding the company. This first job was a turning point in the trajectory of the company as it was the start of a successful career.

SENER has a pioneering history in Space, a sector in which it is a clear world reference. Proof of this are the more than 275 pieces of equipment supplied and systems successfully launched on satellites and spacecraft from NASA, ESA, JAXA and Roskosmos that have not recorded any failure in missions such as Hubble, Ulysses, Spacelab, Rosetta, SEOsat/Ingenio, Herschel and Planck, Gaia, Curiosity, Proba-3, ExoMars, Solar Orbiter or the Meteosat Third Generation.

On this site we invite you to discover the particularities, curiosities or anecdotes of the projects in which SENER has participated, representing, in the end, milestones in the company’s history in the space sector.
